System requirements
Use a supported Windows environment for both Projetex Server and Projetex Workstation.
Operating system
Section titled “Operating system”The current Projetex 7D release targets 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11.
The server computer must also satisfy Microsoft’s requirements for the SQL Server version you use.
Database
Section titled “Database”The current release supports:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2025 Express, installed through Projetex Server setup when required; or
- an existing SQL Server that you operate separately.
Projetex Server setup can use a dedicated SQL Server 2025 Express installation or an existing server configuration.
Runtime components
Section titled “Runtime components”Projetex setup checks and prepares the Microsoft runtime components required by the installed Projetex components.
Network
Section titled “Network”Projetex Workstations must be able to reach the Projetex Server/database and any agency file-storage services that you use.
If your network or firewall blocks those services, workstations will not be able to use the corresponding server functions.
Internet access
Section titled “Internet access”Internet access is required in these cases:
- on the server during installation when Setup must download SQL Server 2025 Express or another required current payload;
- for AI features and other online services that communicate with AIT or external providers.
Core Projetex database work does not depend on the AI service being available.
Before installation
Section titled “Before installation”Before a production upgrade:
- create a fresh database backup;
- confirm the server meets the current Windows and SQL Server requirements;
- confirm workstations can reach the server;
- keep the previous production installation available until the migrated data is verified.
