Client Invoices and Payments
Projetex keeps client invoices and client payments as separate accounting records that can be linked together.
Client invoices
Section titled “Client invoices”The current invoice list can show:
- client, invoice code and global code;
- date sent and due date;
- currency and exchange rate;
- jobs total, invoice total and base-currency totals;
- paid amount and balance due;
- status and date paid;
- discounts/markups, taxes and adjustments.
Available list actions include Mass Invoicing, Void and total calculation.
Edit an invoice
Section titled “Edit an invoice”An invoice can contain Client Jobs. The invoice editor provides actions to add, remove or edit invoice jobs and shows linked payments and credit-note context.
When an invoice is Approved, its jobs are locked. The current UI also reports that invoice items are locked after payments have started.
Use Mark as Paid only when that matches the real payment state you want to record.
Client payments
Section titled “Client payments”Client payment records include the client, payment code, date received, value, currency, exchange rate and linked amount.
The payment editor can link a payment to invoices. It provides Auto-Link, New Link, Edit and Delete actions for invoice links. After a payment is linked to invoices, its payment value is locked.
